In a campus election being held this week students can vote for a referendum asking the school to make the penalty for marijuana infractions -- no greater than those for alcohol. It's being called the "SAFER" referendum because the group believes marijuana is safer than even legal alternatives.

Tuesday the group delivered a letter to the U of A Dean of Students explaining their intentions.
