In response to USA Swimming’s suspension of swimmer Michael Phelps, a national marijuana and alcohol education organization is calling on USA Swimming “to stop driving its athletes to drink” and reinstate the swimmer “who made the safer choice to use marijuana.”

Safer Alternative For Enjoyable Recreation (SAFER) will launch the effort at a press conference at noon today in front of USA Swimming and U.S. Olympic Committee Headquarters in Colorado Springs. For more information, visit www.SAFERchoice.org.
