SAFER is NOT anti-alcohol and respects the right of adults to use alcohol responsibly.

Yet every objective study on marijuana use has concluded that it is safer than alcohol use to both the user and to society.

Thus, SAFER is simply defending the right of adults to make the rational, safer choice to use marijuana instead of alcohol, if that is what they prefer. SAFER also believes it is bad -- and dangerous -- public policy to steer people toward using alcohol instead of marijuana.
