Make a Bequest to SAFER

You can support SAFER and help it grow into the future by leaving it a bequest in your will. You will retain control of your assets, and your heirs may experience tax benefits from your charitable gift.

In drafting your will or living trust, just specify a specific bequest (a fixed dollar amoun) or a residuary bequest (a percentage of your estate). For example, it might read:

"I give to Safer Alternative For Enjoyable Recreation (SAFER), a 501(c)(3) charitable organization incorporated in the State of Colorado, the sum of $X (or all or a percent of my residuary estate) to be used for its general purposes."

It is recommended that you express your bequest as a percentage of your estate, that way you will not have to update your will if your estate changes in value.

SAFER highly recommends consulting with an attorney to ensure that your intentions are clear and that your will is in compliance with your state's laws. Please contact SAFER if you have any questions or require assistance locating an attorney. Otherwise, we encourage you to contact us to inform us of your planned gift.
